SERE Aviation Group, which incorporates 247 Aviation, Jet Assist, and Woodgate Aviation, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of James McKnight as Chief Operating Officer.

 

McKnight brings over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry and has played a key role in the development of 247 Aviation since its inception, most recently as Director of Flight Operations. Under his leadership, 247 Aviation has grown into a leading aero medical transport provider, operating an impressive fleet of Pilatus and Learjet aircraft.

 

The appointment follows the strategic acquisition of Woodgate Aviation, a move that has defined the growth of SERE Aviation Group, and comes after Jet Assist’s significant expansion over 2025, including the attainment of its second base in Northern Ireland and enhanced executive charter services.

In his new role, McKnight will oversee operations across all SERE Aviation brands, focusing on driving operational efficiency, developing talent, and supporting the Group’s continued growth.
