Job Title: Company Accountant. 

Reporting to: Group Finance Director 

Location: BELFAST

Role Responsibilities:

• This pivotal role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, including:

• Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation and production of accurate and timely management and financial accounts including Balance Sheet reconciliations.

• Cash Flow Management: Overseeing cash flow and working capital to ensure optimal financial health. 

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Contributing to the development and preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Accounting Administration: Effectively managing the accounting and administration function within the Head Office, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.

• Profit & Loss trend analysis: Identify opportunities for growth within the group and support ongoing profitability of each company.  

• Year end Audit: Take charge for the group to ensure a smooth process.

Essential Criteria:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience: 

• Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

• Industry Experience: A minimum of three years of industry experience.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

• Industry Advantage: Experience within the motor or aviation industry is highly desirable.

• Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.

• Strong analytical skills and demonstrable experience of performing analysis of actuals against forecast.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and to perform negotiations.
